Chymar Group Golden Touza Ltd. was founded in 1976 by Antonio Touza Blanco. The fleet consists of three freezer trawlers, two of which belong to Golden Touza Ltd.

As for the vessels Golden Touza and Golden Chicha, both 65 meters long; are specialized in squid and hake fishing in the southwest Atlantic. Since May 2006, these vessels have been operating with XBEE diesel additives, obtaining excellent results.

As a way of preserving the fragile ecosystems of this southern region of the world, the Chymar Group is committed to reducing emissions of its fleet to contribute significantly to the quality of the environment.

  2. The fuel tanks and fuel supply systems are clean.
  3. Replacement of diesel filters is less frequent.
  4. Engine maintenance is improved.

Chief engineers confirm that since using XBEE diesel fuel system cleaner, lube oil consumption has also been reduced and filters have been changed less frequently. In December 2007, it was decided to extend the use of XBEE Enzyme Fuel Technology to the largest vessel in the fleet: the M/V Hermanos Touza.

We work in the Falkland Islands area, that whole area in the South Atlantic is under very strict environmental protection regulations. In addition, it was very important for us to take measures to reduce the emission of toxic gases.

The big test, evidently occurred once you lift the engines, a kind of protective film was observed (which we understand implies that good maintenance is being carried out, because in relation to other occasions doing the same operations with the same number of hours of engine use, it is clearly perceived that the maintenance on this occasion is better).

Not only would I agree with the continued use of XBEE, but I have recommended it to different shipowners, especially those with whom I have a better feeling in the sense that they are also very involved in sustainability issues.
