Concord Shipping uses XBEE marine diesel fuel additive

Concord Shipping is a German-based shipping company, founded in 2008 by Heino Bröhan and Hans-Herbert Rancke and currently belongs to the USC Barnkrug GmbH & Co. KG group. Concords focus primarily on the MPP segments and currently manages 8,000 Mts MPP MV “Antje”.

After consultation with XBEE Germany, Concord Shipping decided to use XBEE marine diesel fuel additive to improve the quality of the fuel before combustion.

This company has 4 multipurpose merchant vessels 7,950TDW / 444TEU running on 380 cst heavy fuel oil.

FUEL TANK CLEANING WITH XBEE MARINE DIESEL FUEL ADDITIVE

XBEE technology was used to solve contamination problems in the HFO 380 fuel tank.

During a voyage around Australia, the main tank of the vessel M/S “Antje” contained HFO 380 fuel oil with a high percentage of kerosenes. The fuel, although meeting specifications, was creating problems in the centrifuge, an abnormally large amount of fuel oil.

The XBEE marine diesel fuel additive and the batch of contaminated HFO 380 fuel oil were moved to an empty tank; XBEE was mixed regularly and continuously during the changeover.

Fuel distribution was improved for a few days by the installation of a “circulation” pump. After some time, the problems disappeared and did not occur again. From then, this fuel could be used without any further technical issues thanks to the action of the enzymes.

The continuous XBEE enzyme treatment helped maintain a homogeneous structure in the HFO 380 fuel. As a result of this positive experience with the tank cleaner, Concord Shipping decided to use XBEE technology on board all ships in its fleet.
