Chemgas motor barges use XBEE enzymes to clean up their engines

Chemgas Barging is a market leader in the transport of liquefied gases in ocean-going vessels. They have continuously improved their performance in the fields of safety, environment, and technology, making them a safe, efficient, and reliable partner for their customers.

Chemgas Barging, a Jaegers Group company, has been using XBEE Enzyme Fuel Technology for years in their river barges. Their goal was to evaluate the cleaning effect of our natural fuel treatment in the engines.

Chemgas Shipping started to evaluate XBEE in 2011. They selected the motor barge Blizzard as she was used to have combustion problems.

Main characteristics of the Blizzard:

  • Length over all: 108.00 metres;
  • Width over all: 11.40 metres;
  • Capacity: 2,287 m³.

In October 2012, Chemgas engineers could compare the endoscopic videos of the cylinders and were positively surprised by the results.

The superintendent of the company then decided to treat two more ships on the long term: the Chinook and the Chamsin.
